More than 100 years of experience and success

In 1907, David Henry Blattner began conducting business as D.H. Blattner & Co., Railway Contractors. He and his crew earned a reputation for quality and innovative work as they helped build James J. Hill's Great Northern Railroad.

Four generations and more than a century later, D.H Blattner & Sons has developed and capitalized on its expertise to become a leader in multiple areas of construction. Today, we focus on the needs of the heavy civil construction market while our sister entity, Blattner Energy, Inc., delivers construction solutions to owners and developers in the renewable energy market.

We have expanded and diversified, faced obstacles and celebrated success, but one thing hasn’t changed: our reputation. D.H. Blattner & Sons remains a privately-held company dedicated to quality, innovation and superior client satisfaction.
